Ferrari 355 GTB - Blue - Any Resale Issues?
Discussion
Hi, I'm virtually ready to make my dream purchase & have always loved the blue Tour de France colour with Tan interior. Has anyone ever experienced any issues with reselling a blue GTB?
I appreciate, colour is a personal preference, but my head seems to be telling me red would be easier for resale due to demand.
Cheers

Exactly the colour scheme I would go for - add a manual box, tubi and challenge grill and it would be perfect. If you're worried about resale, try and knock a few quid off the asking price now. Afterall, you often lose the most when you buy rather than sell....!I appreciate, colour is a personal preference, but my head seems to be telling me red would be easier for resale due to demand.

If the TDF with Tan 355 is YOUR dream purchase, don't compromise that for what someone else may like by deviating and going for Red. You will only regret it whenever you open the garage door and wish you had bought the Blue. I agree with all of the above. I spent 9 months finding a TdF/tan 328 GTS over a red one as it is by far the best, understated combination. It possibly took a little longer to sell but I had several offers all from people who specifically did not want a red car. I'm now after a TdF/tan 355 GTS, the only problem is the far fewer cars available (been looking for 6 months) but it is without doubt the best combination. This was confirmed by the number of non-enthusiasts who appreciated the non-red look rather than the default red ferrari. I have noticed that the newer the model, the greater the choice of colours so I guess red is less of an issue now.
Buy the colour you want not the colour to possibly sell it in the future.

having bought and sold my 355 spider (tdf with blu leather) it turned out there were buyers who particularly did NOT want a red ferrari (me included), i paid more for a car that i liked the spec of (v low miles, one of the last ever made and tdf). From my experience i would say that some specialists wont touch a non red car for stock but unless you want to have your pants pulled down you should sell privately or to a dealer on commision.
The added benefit of blue is that it takes some of the negativitiy that f cars can attract, i never had negative reaction to mine. I did however have plenty of people stop dead in the middle of the road as i drove towards them to take a better look - something you sort of get used to!

Red will get you noticed, the dark colours will allow you just to slip by un-noticed in most cases.
Having owned two red ones you get fed up with the attraction it gets sometimes (IMHO). BUT if it was my first Ferrari I'd get it in red, lets everyone know you've got one - it's part of the Ferrari experience.
IMHO blue is a great colour - got for it.
