Agree.. Stunning motor!

Much more drama and occasion, than the Strad.. but prob not as agile or rewarding to drive.

Will be interested to see what you make of the "upgrade"..

Welcome to the Dark Side! Be interesting to see how your experiences of the two compare.

lick I like Ferraris too much to compliment that decision though!

Suppose if you're getting older and dont want an all out supercar I suppose! You know, needing 4wd and leather and all that!!! Ha ha! laugh

the murcielago has alot of presence for sure

the power of the car is astonishing, how to describe the difference to the stradale............i have not owned the murcielago for long but the stradale is more 'nibble', obviously perhaps, as its considerably lighter, but also the delicacy of the control, the feel through the steering is better in the stradale, i feel you can control/point it more comfortably/confidently

a friend came out for a drive the other day and stated that the car was not a car but a weapon !!!

visually the murcielago has viewpoints which cannot be beaten, perhaps by any car, it is a magnificent machine, awe inspiring in design, it does seem to provoke a more diverse view on visual comments, with the stradale both males and females seemed to generally 'enjoy' the appearance of the stradale, the murcielago seems to have more emphasis on males enjoying than females ! both cars get alot of friendly attention at the petrol stations and driving, i am always pleasantly surprised at humanity of people when driving these, very rare to see envy/jealously which i used to get with my porsche 928 / integrale more.

the brakes on the murcielago feel like the achillies heel of the car, in feel, response, delicacy and overall power

i have had a few niggling problems with the murcielago and it reminds me of my integrales that i used to have where you half expect on a trip to get a warning light of some sort ! but you still cant help but fall in love with the cars.

i will be interested to see my views once i have done a few thousand miles and i hope get time to ventur on track (which yes tim i hope to do with goldtrack !, will let you know !)

the murcielage does not feel like 4WD at this stage of road driving, will be interesting on track, but at slow speed it is more unwealdy and i think this is partly due to the sophistication of the 4WD being a little lacking

am i excited about the murcielago and missing the stradale, well yes to both

to be fair they are not really comparable in that they are seeking to achieve differing design briefs but as they are most spectacularly awesome pieces of our motor world we cannot help but try to draw interesting comparisons.

i for now am honored to be driving such a machine..........and looking forward to 2008 motoring !! will let you know how i get on...........

any other stradale / murcie experiences/comments would be interesting to read..........

Well done nic, great looking car.

Good to see you're an architect; I sometimes get 'freindly' grief from my clients when I visit sites in the GT3, but turning up in a Murci would probably send them to their graves. biggrin

must have been me chris !!! thats close to my plate wink ...........but i still don't know where romans is but i was obviously close to them? i was parked for 10mins by the quick-fit talking to a work colleague a few days back........anyhow.....hope to see you around......

ade355 - was offered a tubi fitted at £2,500+vat any advice, does it make as much difference? what type options are there and what did you go for?
when i had my 360 modena F1 (not CS) I upgraded to Tubi and it was epic the difference, loved it.........does it do the same to the murci??

ah-har another architect with petrol in his veins............good work ! i have not dared to turn up to clients in the murcie yet although a few clients saw the stradale but only ones who own ferraris already ! might venture with the murcie to them ! friendly grief is ok though wink

think i saw on your profile you are in devon, do you know stan bolt, interesting profile picture.........your work i assume wink ?

A good, refreshingly down to earth initial write up there Nic. Really hope you enjoy it as much as Simon (George) does his yes

A tricky one with clients ... do you never mention it for fear of negative resonse, or drive it and be proud that you are obviously good at what you do and hope that customers twig that you must be doing something right. Let your quotes and past work influence them, not the car you drive ... definitely a tricky one though and easier said than done smile

plenty of petrol running in lieu of blood......visting clients is either in the GT3 or yellow Boxster, so might need to get something more subtle, but then the journey's not so enjoyable.

Know Stan Bolt's work, but not him personally. Profile pic is The Beach Hut, had the fun and games of demolishing our house and re-building, with a more GT3 freindly garage, (old story), moved in last October. House is a bit of a tardis, very restrained on the entrance side, but lot more dramatic from the beach.
