Hi Guys,
Took delivery of F430 yesterday (will post pics as soon as I've worked out how to!)
Now whilst I love listening to it at full chat that is not always possible on our ridiculously congested roads. So given that the standard fit music maker is pants does anyone have any recommendations for upgrades?
I'd like to keep the standard head unit if possible & just change speakers behind the original covers. Has anyone done this?

Thanks
T

Congrats on the aquisition, I can't answer your question, but I do think its strange how this morning on my way to work I was going to start a thread about Supercar ICE, to see how many people have installs.....

This has been done in my 360 original head unit with speakers behind original grills and amp in the boot. The boot has been modified with a slight redesign and the tool kit etc is now sunk into the floor but the company have made it all look original. The Becker CD is also sunk into the back wall of the boot.
So I guess it is possible in a F430.

I havn't got any experience with this company, but it looks like they may offer what your looking for.

Indeed

They did my 996 targa, and incredibly happy with their work, so would gladly recomend them, and they are certainly familiar with the 430

Some of my friends run a company called Ai Audio.

Could be worth a try

http://www.aiaudio.co.uk

They're over in Slough. Seen an install they did in Range Rover Sport which retained the factory headunit, was more of a SPL car but very neat.

Speak to the staff at www.caraudiosecurity.com - they had a demo 360F1 in which the standard speakers had been upgraded to a quality set of Rainbow components and also added a small subwoofer in between the two seats. An amp rack has been flushed into the bonnet floor. They've just taken delivery of a F430F1 Modena which is going to have a similar install ... probably your best and only option! They are based in West London by Heathrow.
