The cheapest I've seen is a 2005 430 Spider (P1 again) for £103,950 with 38k on the clock. I'm sure you'd get it for £100k though.

There doesn't seem to be that many 430's for sale at the moment. I've been looking for a few weeks and there are never more than 2 or 3 cars in the spec I'm looking for (within a reasonable driving distance). Is this typical of this market, or will things pickup in the spring?

I was kindly being offered low £90's for my 05 fully loaded 13k mile F430 F1 by Ferrari Dealers in early Dec last year (before I sold it through a broker for £110k!)

Prices should firm.. now that the "Burberry effect" has been reduced!

Knob! biggrin

But what about that the average age of Ferrari drivers has risen steeply since I decided that I had too much of my own natural hair to fit in with the Prancing Horse posse?! smile

I'm looking for a 2005/2006 Red F1 Spider. There are only 16 showing on Autotrader and just a few within 100 miles of where I am. There's even less if you look at the Ferrari approved vehicle locator. I'm hoping there will be a bit more choice when I plan on buying, which is around April time. I only want one car, but it's nice to have a few to choose from.

Why would you limit a search for such a specialised car to one within a certain driving distance? If you know exactly what you're looking for, and one exists at a reputable dealers say 200miles away, why not make a trip specially?

I've had a bad experience in the past where the dealer I bought from was 2 hours away from me. A minor problem with the sunroof cost me about 3 days off work, as they tried and failed (twice) to fix the problem. After that I decided it was best to deal with a more local dealer if at all possible. I suppose it all depends on who the warranty is with though.

I think you will find Ferrari main dealers will be very accomodating - I always use DL in Swindon even though I am in London, and they just send a truck to come and collect them whenever there is a problem.

06 cars are still under factory warranty so you could go to any official dealer/service centre for warranty work.
I will (and have) travelled any distance to buy the right car.

I suspect there may be something of a 'bloodbath' with respect to 'used' 430 prices this year... especially with an ever increasing number of second hand cars coming onto the market and that crucial 'three year old / out of warranty' situation now beginning to 'kick in' ,.. which may be good news for cash buyers looking to purchase a used car, but rather ghastly news in terms of depreciation for current owners, ... lets see!
