got a orange engine management warning light on the dashboard, which stays permanently lit but doesn't seem to effect the performance...but I've not driven it hard since it came on. Any ideas?

needs the sd2 to be plugged in.. it will tell you the fault or may just be a simple reset

Before you take it anywhere, try the battery disconnect in the boot. Big black knob. Can't remember which way it turns, but turn it off (the interior lights will go off) and leave it turned off for about 30 mins. Then turn on again and check. Note while it's turned off, you will lose all power to the car, so leave the doors, and especially the boot, open. As I understand it, this is effectively a reboot. Happened on my 360 several times.

Does the 360 have a standard OBD2 connector (assuming it must do, would go out and check but its cold out there)? If so, I'd get it plugged in and get the error codes out and figure out what caused it - you don't have to go to a dealer to do this...buy an OBD2 cable and do it yourself.

You can open the boot manually Kevin - did you never find that handle under the dash then? hehe

I found it after alright thanks Brian tongue out, right after I'd made the mistake of slamming the boot shut and realising I didn't have power to release the catch. Just trying to avoid another topic along the lines of 'Help, battery disconnected and can't get into the boot to turn it back on...'

All cars from 1996 onwards have the same OBD2 connector as an industry standard and all manufacturers use the same fault codes to register a fault.

Shame your so far away as I've got a handheld diagnostic machine.
