A while ago there was a post where people were asking about good driving days and a guy on here was offering a very good deal.

I can remember the company as 6thgear. But obviously the deals were not available on the website.

Who is it on here that I need to contact to arrange a day for my dad.

Thanks in advance

Graeme

Thanks.

Is their number available somewhere on here, or do you generally get through to them via the number on the 6th gear website.

Just booked it for him. A few laps in the LP640 for his 50th and no doubt he will be smiling from ear to ear.

Not sure who I spoke to on the phone, but they were very helpful thanks.

I would recommend 6th gear to anyone. You get to ring a landline number and get put through straight away with no messing about.

The only previous experience with driving days I have had in the past involved weekdays only, waiting in a que for 30 minutes on an 0870 number and then getting rude an unhelpfull staff who cant even confirm the car your going to drive on the day.

What a difference and for an amazing price aswell.

Thanks Again.

I've booked the LP640 for the end of March...I spoke to Andy and he was very helpful and polite (so thanks Andy)...I can't wait, I don't know about smiling from ear to ear though, I'm smiling from rear to ear!

Anyone else going on the 30th March?

Booked for the 15th of March for my dad, hopefully it wont be wet for him. Not sure how a car like that would perform in the wet or how they will let you drive it.

I was this close :knatsdodah smily: to booking a few laps for myself and the mrs but as its about a 5 hr drive there would need to stay overnight, plus the sprog might get a bit bored watching the cars. Looks like I'll have to tie it in with a holidy up that way or something later in the year.

You cant overlook it at that price, the price on the website is £175 for the LP640 if I'm reading it right.

I found the old post earlier and think the offer is only until the end of january??

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the comments. Nice to get some positive feedback. The reason we set up 6th Gear was basically we worked for driving experience companies before and we felt their customer service was crap!

As we previously posted we will always do a discount for PHer's on any of our packages. Just call 01785 711491 to discuss.

As a point of interest we have an Ariel Atom available for all our days this year. £99 for four laps and a demo & high speed lap in a M3 CSL has to be a bargain.

Andy.

Andy,

FYI - I just sent you a quick email through your profile that I previously sent to Simon (no idea if he got it). Your thoughts would be much appreciated and feel free to call to discuss.

Cheers.

You have got to give credit where credit is due. It seemed far to easy when ringing up compared to previous experiences. Hopefully the day itself will go smoothly for my dad, I will just be there ogling the machinary.

I can resist everything but temptation ...

Anybody know of a decent cheap place to stay up that way?

There's quite a few places I can point you in the direction of. Just drop me an e-mail and I'll send you some details.

Thanks

Andy.

hmmmmm...

SG and AC's venture features 2/3 Lamborghinis and they are both Members of LCUK and RallyRider is a new Member of LCUK - so, obviously RR will be driving the Atom, I'd have thought!

That's just a guess mind you, just a feeling that he might...

silly

If I'd thought about it I could've booked the wife in the Atom, I'm sure she'd love me even more for that than the Ferrari I chose for her!

As for me, one seat to the right biggrin
