Hi ,Picked 06 06 Gallardo last week love it! but keep geeting error codes alternating between 1-5 and 6-10 . Dosn't seem to affect performance and dealer isnt concerned . I did put Morrisons fuel 95 ron , in it because i nearly ran out, does anyone know what these codes mean?

These are engine fault codes and relate to the cylinder banks hence 1-5 is the pistons on one side of the engine, 6 - 10 the other side. When the code 1 - 5 appeared on my previous coupe the engine went into limp home mode and I had to get Lambo Assist to take the car to the dealer. Eventually the fault was traced to a malfunctioning ECU on on one cylinder bank. Your fault could be any number of things to be honest so I'd advise taking it to a main Lamborghini dealer for a plug in diagnostic check.

I've had this a couple of times, and in both cases the warning was caused by an emissions "spike" - ie, an out of range emission reading. Sometimes this can just happen (dodgy fuel, particular conditions), but it could be indicative of a more serious fault (eg, misfire or as said above ECU problem), so best to get Lambo dealer to read fault code and diagnose properly.

Kind regards

Concur with what the other guys have said.

I had 1 -5 showing on mine which happened to be caused by an o2 sensor and proved expensive to fix.

It is unusual to have both 1 - 5 and 6 - 10 showing though

Good luck

Do you have the exhaust valves permanently open or an after market exhaust on?

The 06 onwards ECU doesn't always like the valves mod & can show that error code, never had it on mine since reverting back to standard set up.

Obviously if fault continues get it checked , but normally its caused by momentary lack of fuel pressure and is nothing to worry about , try to avoid running car with less than a 1/4 of a tank ,fill up restart problem should be resolved .

Had this a couple of times now on my 2004 Gallardo with Tubi.. had me worried, but didn't seem to cause an issue. I pulled over, re-started and it went away!.. Both times, several weeks apart i have been sat in heavy traffic crawling a long.. perhaps thats why? too many gases about! stop start etc etc..

Best to get this checked out as soon as possible, as it could be a faulty ignition coil, and that can cause loads of problems.

But the thing that makes me think that this is something less serious is the fact that you were running the car with very little fuel in it.
Lamborghini sent out a memo to service agents to ensure that we did not even start a Gallardo with less than a quarter of a tank in it, let alone drive it.
To be honest, I have forgotten he exact reason why, but just know that you should try to avoid doing it.

Cheers,

Ruttboy.

Low Fuel was the reason a friends would flash up with error codes on a 04 E-Gear.Always ran with at least half a tank since and problem never re-surfaced.I did hear that errors 1-5 are common and nothing to worry about?

Not sure if putting 95ron is a good idea either.

low fuel will plag it up, best thing to do is take it to a dealer and get them to put there laptop on the car and it will tell you the erroro code. It could be anything from a bad earth, coil gone down to a broken ecu
