Spotted Silver CGT - Essex

Well can you please come though Halstead next time and take me for a spin (and yes I could be quite serious!). I was stuck in that traffic jam when I saw you so it was a nice surprise to get that glimpse which helped get me through the boredom!
Also - am I right in thinking all 959's were LHD? Only I saw a red one on Sunday nr Ongar, the rear wheels looked a little odd in that they seemed a little deep dished but the key thing was that it was right hand drive so suspect it was a rebodied 911.
Regardless of that, the shape of the 959 is still surprisingly fresh and modern...it did look great on the roads!

Yes, they were all lhd. Ritchie King from Karmann Konnection in Benfleet built a good replica way back in 1987 and went to a lot of trouble to get the details right on the car - it could still be in Essex I supose. Only thing he couldn't perfect was the wheels - he sourced some pearlescent white coloured replicas but had to fill the bolt holes (they were 2 piece - the 959s are single piece of course). Also - am I right in thinking all 959's were LHD? There are 2 959s in storage less than 30 miles from you as it happens - a silver one and a ruby red one. In the flesh they are still as pretty as the day they were released - I'd like one...

Dell - You're on!!!
Ruby - this car was guards red and interesting what you say about the wheels - I do pick up on detail like that and they just didn't look 'spot on'!
Who knows!!!

Ritchie's was Guards Red too - sounds like the same car....I think he found a close match with CompomotivesRuby - this car was guards red and interesting what you say about the wheels - I do pick up on detail like that and they just didn't look 'spot on'!

Nigel Benn owns/ed a replica 959. Could of been that one
