Hi all,

Ive been considering an SLR roadster for a while now but with the waiting list and price of around £350,000 ive thought of an alternative.
Ive seen a second hand SLR for around £180,000 i might take it upon myself to cut the roof off professionally thus saving myself £100,000 after costs.
A friend of mine in the States has done this previously with a Phantom and other such cars. Obviously there alot more too it than just gettin the cutters out, ie u have to stablise the chasis and re construct the outer frame of the door but it can be done.
What are your thoughts?

It's currently codenamed the SLC, we have taken quite a few orders for it in the last few weeks as it has been given confirmed production; but I don't think we will see it until late 2009/early 2010.

Was it on euro plates with pimp black wheels, as I saw one on Hampstead High Street a few weeks back, and I must agree, it had amazing presence, almost like a Rugby player, butch but athletic?!

LOL I meant the car looked like a Rugby Player, not the driver! That almost makes me sound gay! Besides it was drug dealer spec ie very tinted windows so diff to see who was driving!

There was an SLR roadster in our school a few months ago, which funily enough is in watford. Made me cringe the amount of people that didn't have a clue what it was, one girl said "Wow a Lamborghini."

No dont have a Bentley GTC im afraid, sorry.
Ha to be honest i am bored of it already! Next weekend sounds good depends on the weather obviously cant be taking the Ferrari out if its wet! And i dont suppose u want your pearl white G getting dirty but if all is good on the weather front then 100% yeh.
Well like I mentioned when i saw you im 99% getting the Veyron by the summer it all depends if these Desire Petroleum shares get above 75 pence a share but they were up 25% again today so all is looking good! There a dead cert really!
I want to talk to you about colour etc when i see you next and we can discuss your options also.
