Hi there,

Went along to the Britcar Media Day at Silverstone today. I arrived about 9am and noticed some interesting cars parked in the paddock. Some of the cars were not there in connection with the Media day and disappeared for most of the day over to the far part of the circuit for a private photoshoot. The F40 belongs to one of the racing teams and was parked in the paddock all day. Managed to grab a few quick shots of the others before they disappeared.

Audi R8

Aston Martin V8 Vantage

Ferrari F40

Mercedes Mclaren SLR Roadster - not seen an SLR roadster before stunning car.

Spyker C8 - nice to see Tommy from Broughtons out in this again, really like these.

Gumpert Apollo - sounds awesome

Mosler MT900S - even these look great in white

Last but not least something a bit different. This is a Trident Iceni, they are entering a bio-diesel version in the Britcar series for 2008. This is a road car prototype, a bit rough round the edges but shows promise.

Hope you like the pics.

Regards

Tim

Nic,

Did get your e-mail many thanks. Can't make it to Silverstone on Saturday at the moment, although this may change.

Will definately be at VMAX though, see you there.

Regards

Tim

An F40, Gumpert, Spyker and Mosler in the same car park... not every day you see that! Great photos, thanks.

Great photos, thanks again Tim.

The Iceni looks like a love child of a TVR and a Viper.

That F40 was the first one into the UK I think. It's been in a number of mags and on posters etc. Bit of a legend really! smile

There's a black 04 plate SLR going through Manheim auction in Colchester on Tuesday, could be a bit of a bargain.

Not sure, just heard it on the grapevine. You have to pay £5 to get the listings details from their website, have a look at the link below:

http://www.manheim.co.uk/find_buy/speed_search/?fu...

There are supposed to be a few nice bits going through.

Just shy of 14k, it's the ex Gumball car, registered P12YER!! It's been at BCA Measham for a while, didn't do the money!!

I was there too. Interesting to see the F40 up close. I could see splinters of fiberglass from the rear spoiler coming off. Build quality eh?

My useless phone camera has the nice effect of making the moving cars seem like caricatures.
