Respect very much due, in public, to Al Clarke of Ferrari GB. What a top guy!

My daughter and her classmates entered a competition to design and build a model 'F1' car, using CAD CAM http://www.f1inschools.co.uk/. Part of the deal is they learn about branding and sponsorship for their team, and my daughter wanted to get Ferrari involved. We wrote to Al Clarke and I have to say I didn't expect to hear anything back. He called me, spent a good deal of time on the phone, and as a result their head of co-marketing will visit the school to talk to them about how sponsorship works, and a local dealer is sponsoring the team.

The kids were bouncing yesterday and couldn't quite believe it. Fantastic result and great to see Ferrari getting behind projects that teach engineering and life skills to kids. I really approve of schoolkids doing things like this. Thank you Al.

We Had Mclaren come in last year to talk about engineering. The bloke brought along an SLR convertible. Unfortunatly he also gave the caretaker a lift in it. I hate the caretaker. A lot.

I've always hated him . He has a very bad case of small man syndrome.
