Team Modena Lambo crashed heavily at Oulton Park - Driver OK
Discussion
Hi there,
The Team Mondena Lamborghini Gallardo was crashed heavily in the first round of the 2008 British GT season today at Oulton Park. The car was being driven by Piers Johnson when it left the track on the run down to Cascades. The driver was uninjured and although the bodywork of the car was really badly damaged the chassis seems to be ok.

Shame as the car was running really well and had dominated the mornings practice session.
An eventful day today another car competing in the GT4 class (a Ginetta G50) was completely destroyed after leaving the track and bursting into flames. Miraculeously the driver worked away unhurt.

Had a call from Debbie @ Team Modena. Needless to say they are packing up and heading home. So for those that were planning to come and meet them on Monday will be disappointed.
I'm waiting on her calling me back to see if we can still go to the track and watch the racing. I'll post if I hear anything.
