I have had my 360 Spider about a month now and so far not had the guts to put it in sports mode. If I do will this improve the driving experience without killing me or does it kill driver aids? Just wanted to get more info on it before trying it.

Cheers

Presumably it is an F1, in which case it makes the gear change faster. Isn't going to kill you!

On the 360 the sport button backs off the traction contrl but it's still there, so as long as you know it's off and are ready it's not an issue.

I used to do it regularly as when pulling out of juncions the TC cuts in it kills the engine, better to have a bit of slip but keep moving.

Now on the Galardo, if you switch the ESP off, it really means OFF! as I found out when as the very same junction I used to put the 360 in sport, I spun the Gallardo!!

Craig,

the sport button on the manual doesn't make a huge difference (at least not on my car)
i understand it stiffens the shocks up a bit, but that's about it. i dont bother most of the time as i dont feel any benefit on the road

The ASR button backs off the traction control...so you can have it in sport but retain the traction control...i definitely don't switch that off on the road...was fun with playing with it at Donington though! wink

apparently on the F1 it sharpens the gearchange too

hope that helps smile

cheers lads - will do! remember the goodwood breakfast run is a week on Sunday.

Harsh how do you find your gears on the manual? does it crunch from 2nd to 3rd from time to time?

2nd to 3rd is ok....not had any problems with 3rd at all

1st to 2nd and the change down from 3rd to 2nd even with blipping the throttle tends to be a little stiff.

i tend not to use 2nd at all until it's properly warmed up,
apparently it's a common trait.

i have heard elsewhere that manuals always seem to have one gear that's slightly obstructive so it might be that 3rd is yours.

where did you buy it from ?
