I have a fire extinguisher to install in my 328GTS. It came with the car when I bought it but was loos in the rear luggage compartment - not the best place to get to if there was a fire in the engine (which I hope will never happen!!) and was wondering if anyone has some suggestions where is the best plave to locate it within the cabin. I have seen cars where it is placed just in front of the passenger seat but I would rather not drill through the floor is posible.
The extinguisher is a Fire Sence Response model, dimentions ca 36cm long (inc triger) and 11cn wide.

Thanks

Tie it to the mat with cable ties. It keeps stable (if it's not a huge heavy one that is) and the worse you have is a couple of slits in an over mat.

Gina has her extinguisher mounting bracket ziptied to the front crossrail of the passenger seat rail, allowing the extinguisher to sit discreetly on the mat (as per al's above suggestion) ... it's not totally fantastic, but the most practical spot i have found without committing to blatant vandalism.

I had one last year for a European tour and found it sat very nicely betwen the drivers seat and sill. No drilling, no damage not perfect but it didn't move!
