Scratching around for things to do with my Red Letter Day voucher, I decided the time was right to try out a 'Dancing Donkey' wink

Booked myself in to take an F430 round Thruxton for 4 laps on Thursday (I know 4 laps is no real gauge of the car, but my tight-arsed cousins didnt want to spend any more money on me rolleyeshehe).

Im quite looking forward to it smile

I always assumed the natural progression from the Cerb would be into a Lambo, but I suppose I should check out the opposition too hehe

This was my experience and would be interested to hear what yours is like: http://www.pistonheads.com/xforums/topic.asp?h=0&a...

I found that the fact you cant rev that highly, and get into a decent power band, quite frustrating.

So in your write up, you're effectively saying the F355 was the fastest and best car there??? If so, then good write up! I hope mine still feels fresh at 110,000 miles.

Hi Humpbackmaniac

If you are looking for a Murci Experience you could try www.everymansdreamracing.co.uk or Thruxton motorsport centre or type into Google as the is the LP640 experience too.

Good luck let me know if you have any joy.

Tried to book a few laps in the LP640 today, but the organisers were sending out mixed signals. The chap in charge of the briefing said I could book it there and then, but the guys in the booking office said I couldnt, and the first chap had gone on the missing list frown

3 lap 'experience' package wasnt enough, was just starting to find me feet with the F430 and then had to come in frown

Still, the instructor gave me 8's & 9's on my assesment...which was nice wink (hoping thats out of 10 not 20 paperbag)

Not sure Im a fan of the flappy paddles though.

Im sure it is quicker than the Cerb, but it didnt feel so confused Not as raucous (sp?) and hence didnt feel as fast, but handled beautifully driving Didnt have the 'buzz' afterwards that I get in the Cerb, but thats probably because it was less stressful knowing you would make it back to the pits hehe

Guess I'll have to book another day for a go in the Lambo smile
