... most folk who go to the Bristol show say it's good ... but ... like everyone else who drives their car there, you will have to park in the street where anybody at all can just walk by, carelessly pushing their overloaded buggy or carrying those very sharp spanners etc...

Worth the drive tho', I reckon but it's always been a bit out of range for me both pre- coming home to Lancashire and now due to Lambo in Sussex / self in Lancashire problems.

I'm never adverse to spending time with mine or any Lambo whilst they are parked but I'd go with a passenger or a mate in his/her car if you go to the Bristol show as you might want to take a bit of watchful security for the car(s) whilst you find the can or wander off to the bar (again) !

also, I'm not at all sure that they cluster like-marques together - you could contact them and see? If you do, suggest any Lamborghinis are placed in the better streets, must be some of those in Bristol, surely???

Dave

I am meant to be going. Have got an invite apparently coming in the post. Was taking the QV down to it.

Been in failry regular contact with organiser who assures me not had problems in past. Is this yourunderstanding? There will be a Lambo section and other marque sections too! I understnad it is a nice informal event and Bristol is quite a nice city. Only way to get car on the streets is to have an invite though. If you are taking the Jarama then happy to go down in a legal convoy!!! I am leaving gods chosen country ( Scotland you idiot) on friday morning and am staying in a centrla hotel. may be meeting a mate down there and coming back on Sunday although depends on wor on Monday if get that sorted may stay down an extra day and see mates in hemel.

Are you def going to it?

Let me know

I'll be there, I only live about 400 yards away. Can't be bothered to show the GranSport though, I'm too lazy to get up at 7am on a Saturday!

I showed my 3200GT there a couple of years ago, all went well. Paul Hanmore's a good bloke, and runs the event in a very professional manner. The marques are generally grouped together so long as people turn up on time.

Enjoy ...

Paul - please see my comment re: my Jarama being in Sussex and myself being in Lancashire... no, I'll not be going this year (again!) -

As mentioned, I've never heard of there being a problem as such more that there may be a possibility of there being issues with trolleys, buggies and the Chavmass in general milling about...

At least at events like Auto Italia the people attending are 'car' people but the streets of any city are not exclusively filled with 'car' people...

So, that's a Countach QV from Scotland and a Diablo Roadster / Diablo 6.0 from Dorset... can LCUK's representation be any wider based in this instance?

(...cue PH posting from Our Man in Inverness and either of the 'onourable Club Members from Guernsey!)

ps, I know where you live Paul, so stop calling me an idiot, you idiot... ;:-p - legal convoy indeed, as if!

Hi Dave

yes i have an obvious problem with this reading thing! lol!

you being from Lancashire, i supposed that you would think that God's chosen country didnt extend beyond the county boundries! Anyway god punished us scots by giving us crap football and rugby teams! Sob.

It had occured to me about the buggy issue etc and is a slight concern, but I suppose i could stand around my car all day in my kilt with my favourite axe and grumble away in our local patois to deter damage? Scottish tourist board hate us doing that though!

If other guys in club are going please contact me or pvt me.

Hi Dave

The plan is to take the Islero (subject to the weather)- I have been once before and it was fine with the General Public wandering by, although having an Islero reduces the amount of attention as nobody knows what it is and therefore they make a bee line for more recognisable fare. Lamborghini did have a section but it consisted of my car and a forelorn sign.

Jon - Yes I am going to this. Went last year and it was good fun. I took my Diablo and tagged along with the De Tomaso lot. They have booked San Carlos, an Italian restaurant for lunch so if you want to come along to that please email me.

Our table is booked for 12.30. I will be wearing something with Lamborghini written on it so come and say hi. You might know my friend Andy from Cheltenham who owns a 1965 Maserati.
