I'm planning on changing a couple of our cars due to the impending arrival of our first baby and the need for a people carrier but we are going to end up with 4 cars pretty much as follows:-

92' Ferrari 348ts
00' Porsche Boxster S
04' Vauxhall Zafira GSI

And

Either the Rover 75 or Mitsubish FTO GPX as the daily work sh*tter since I've not decided which to get rid of yet!

I'm hunting for the Zafira and Porker at the moment but can anyone recommend a good insurance broker for such a multi car policy ? I'm keen to keep the Ferrari on limited mileage as I'm only doing about 3000 miles per year in it and the porker probably wont get much use through the winter either.

At the moment our insurance policies are all over the place and we have full no claims on 2 policies, 4 years on 1 and 1 year on another. I'm basically keen to get all 4 cars tied in on one policy for both of us to drive (well maybe not the missus on the Fezza policy! wink )

Will this work out cheaper under 1 policy given the no claims we've got ? Any suggestions greatly welcomed !

You could try Chris at Michael Ward or Aon Private Clients. I'm with AIG for a 599, 328, BMW touring, Boxster S and others on one policy which works well, broker is MRIB 01494 455606 ask for Ian

Slightly off topic, but them there babies aren't that big. There's no excuse for a Zafira yet.

I used a policy called homefleet which worked out pretty economical. They are called tradex (sorry dont have the number to hand but www.tradex.com) . It was a very good policy premium wise ie cheapest I could find for 3 cars but I had a few issues with a claim. Just took a while to get paid out (prob normal).

Des,

I have a "Home and Drive" policy with CIS Aberdeen(now in Westhill)Tel 656656

http://www.central-group.com/ProductsServices/Priv...

It's got 2 Mercs, a Landie, Lotus, and my 348 on it as well as "Stiglet Towers" buildings and contents yet it doesn't cost a fortune.

Worth phoning for a quote?

Cheers

Had loads of grief with them regarding a claim-took nearly a year to pay out! Never ever will I use them

That doesnt suprise me given my experience...didnt take a year but it was real hassle...I have since moved from them even tho their quote was pretty good.
