London to Silverstone Supercar Tour - pics from todays event

[autofocus]

Hi there,

The Friday before the Silverstone FIA GT event always plays host to the annual London to Silverstone supercar run.

Was really looking forward to this event as I had just spent nearly £1000 on a new camera and lenses which only arrived on Monday so was desperate to try it out.

As usual there was a good turnout with some stunning cars including a very nice Ferrari F50.

Here are my pics: -

Gallardo being chased by an R8

Gallardo Superleggera

Ferrari F50

Aston Martin Vantage N400 - quite like the burnt orange colour

De Tomaso Pantera

Porsche 911 RS

One of my favourites - Diablo 6.0

Ferrari 550 Barchetta

Maserati Gran Turismo

Audi R8

Shelby Daytona Coupe hotly pursued by a Superleggera

Aston Martin DBS - first time I have seen one of these very nice !!

A few static shots

As usual at Silverstone they are always a few nice cars to be seen around the paddock.

A coupe of 430 Scuderias, personally really like the Black / Silver

Aston Martin Vantage Zagato Volante - very rare

Mercedes SLR 722 Edition

Two tone Ferrari 612 Scaglietti - looks really nice in the flesh actually.

Hope you enjoy the pics.

Regards

Tim

And it's photos like those I want to invest in a decent camera, rather than a £40 digital camera from Argos. :P Great pictures. Money well spent, right?

What car did you go in Autofocus? Is it one in the carpark? Nice pictures by the way.
