Can anyone recommend a Maserati specialist or a general sports car spealist who knows what there doing to look after a 3200 GT in the broad Nottingham/East midlands/Not the south coast area.

We do have a Grey Paul in Nottingham but they tend to deal with cars a little higher up the food chain.

Hi Steven,

I can personally suggest this outfit (speak to Gary)...
http://www.gtautos.co.uk/index.html

Not East Mids but West Mids I'm afraid, but WELL worth talking to!

He's a true enthusiast with great attention to detail.

Really? I counted at least 3 4200's when I was in there on Saturday. I would be surprised if they did not know what they were doing with a 3200.

Ho-hum.

Greypauls also have and sell the full range of older Ferraris in there as well from Daytonas,328s, dinos and teararossas. So yes they cover all ages of foodsmile

True - they have a Testiclerossa and a gorgeous Daytona in the showroom. No price on the Daytona tho, so I suspected it was just for show.

I was very taken by the silver Gallardo there, but the wife was not frown I was also hugely impressed with the workshop area. I think I am going to hire whomever keeps that place clean, to come and do my house! If you ever get stuck for a place to eat, the floor of GrayPaul's workshop is perfectly usable. biggrin

Gray Pauls sold and looked after my 3200GT - The dealer has never failed to impress me and always looked after the car and me well!

Flip side though. There are quite a few bad reports about GreayPauls as well. But there again every were has got good and bad storys.

I have nothing against Grey Paul, I am sure they are great. It's just that I am fairly sure last time I looked they wanted over 2x the price for a service compared to what most independents were charging (Which when your talking about 3200 GT servicing is not insignificant). Am I right in thinking that after the first 3 years, main dealer servicing jumps up in price quite a lot?

Given that the car is going to be driven I am not too bothered whether or not the garage floor is scrubbed clean with a tooth brush every morning. I just want decent service with out too much open wallet surgery.

This thread is more about value for money than anything else (well as close as you can get with an Italian sports car).

I don't know about Greypaul, but the local Lancasters main dealer gives a 25% reduction for work on cars over 5 years old to try and keep them coming in, and it works for my 3200, they do a sterling job.

Have you got an address or link to the Lancasters dealership. That would be helpful to the guy.
