Come on, own up! Who was it who was parked outside Boots in London Wall at 6am yesterday morning with a blow up doll in the passenger seat?? (As reported in the paper last night.)

I dont know who it was but I would hazard a guess that it was someone who had used a car sharing lane!!

For my (numerous) sins, I design a new magazine aimed at the fleet manager/owners of trucks.

One of issue 2's "news" articles is a feature concerning the launch of the car sharing lane between the M606 and the M62 in Yorkshire.

It was opened by our 'illustrious' transport secretary Ruth 'not Gordon's lapdog' Kelly.

In her speech she said,

"The Government is committed to finding innovative ways to get more from our existing roads and improving journeys for motorists"

the editor and I had an amusing few moments discussing taking out a few words from that statement to read,

"The Government is committed to finding innovative ways to get more from ... motorists."

the truth will out, unlike Ms Kelly (as yet)

In the light of this blow-up idea, (quite an old one actually!), this doll could probably look more than a little like Apparatchik Kelly, d'y' think?

The photo used with the article shows her in front of a standard LED sign which says:

CAR SHARE
LANE
NOW OPEN

... but as she's obscuring some of the top line, it may actually read "CAR SHARK"
