Maserati 3200 inteior quality/wear
Discussion
Just a quick question, I was looking at a 02 plate 3200 with 22K miles on it today, but the interior was in a very bad state, with the switch gear and carpets very worn (i.e. they looked worse than the ones in my 10 year old mondeo). Is this normal? I don't expect the quality to be up there with that of a 911, but the amount of wear was to a point where I began to think the car had seen some serious mileage adjustment.
Thanks for that, it's nice to know that they are not all like that. I didn't look at the pedals to be honest but all the carpet around the pedals was very matted. The most obvious wear was on the drivers window switch and around the gear level itself. The car was clearly one to walk away from.
Was it silver? I remember looking at one 18 months ago that was like that, strangely it's still for sale. They wear very well, with the exception of the driver's seat bolster and airbag cover coming unstuck, which is a 15 minute fix. Mine had 68k on it and all I did was change the footwell carpets because the drivers one looked a bit battered.
I'm at 43,000 miles on a W reg with a Cream Interior (Seats and Carpets!).
Drivers seat right hand bolster has taken some wear and the back of the lid on the centre armrest has worn where it catches when open but other than that, nothing major.
Some of the buttons on the radio are also on their way to being shabby (original unit) but nothing that would stand out.
