Well, I'm very happy to say that I've finally made the all important leap from "looking" to "owning". Found myself a car pretty much exactly the way I wanted it, from Lancaster Sevenoaks, and after an agonising 15-day wait inbetween putting a deposit down and delivery, its finally with me. I somehow managed to get all the way through to delivery of my car without ever having driven a Ferrari before, so popping my F-cherry in my very own car was fun! (but nervous!). The thrill and the sound of the 430 is just incredible.

For the inquisitive amongst us, below is the spec:

2006 F430 Coupe F1
Rosso Corsa / Crema
Scuderia Shields (embossed)
Bordeaux carpets
Bordeaux coloured stitching
2008 model SatNav & Bluetooth
Electric seats
Leather headlining
Red calipers
Yellow rev counter
Ali Dash
Funky photo album of car being made

And seeing as its in such a rare colour combo, here are some photos (sorry they arent that good, but I couldnt be bothered taking photos, I wanted to drive the thing!):

To be honest, I wasnt even the least bit nervous that i'd never driven an F-car. I loved the aesthetics, the noise, and know its fast. I dont recall hearing anyone that hasnt liked the way it drives, so I went for it. I'm usually quite compulsive, and its the first car I've ever picked up at the garage. Never driven any cars I bought before.

Looks great Ewan - congratulations!

The question is: did you take it to your client meeting?

biggrin You lot scared me off. I bought the car for everyday use, but now I'm too scared, so I'm leaving it at home frown and have just bought a new Fiat 500 for travelling to work.
