I had new boots fitted on the back of the 360 a couple of hundred miles ago, and the cars felt really tip-toe-y ever since, and the tramlining and body roll seems much heightened, like the cars on stilts. I had thought it was due to release agent still working its way out, but Im sure its not now.

The garage did reset all my tyre pressures whilst it was there to the factory reccomended pressures (the ones found inside the passenger door) so Im wondering if theyre too high? what do other folks run? I seem to remember reading a thread about this years ago but PH has attenuated the begining of all old threads so I cant seem to find anything useful out.

Id appreciate anything you could suggest folks.

Thanks in advance.

i had a similar issue when i fitted the new boots to mine.

it took a good 500 miles to sort itself out, as for tyre pressues i'm currently running slightly (2psi) than the specs

thats psi not bar i'm talking about.

so it's literally 2psi lower than the specs dictate (very small variation)

yes 2psi all round.

ok, thanks, will do.

anyone else got any suggestions? i seem to remember 24 all round being bandied about as the ideal settings, but my memory is dreadful.

plus, my memory is dreadful.

what kind of tyres were they - the manual recommends fairly different pressures depending on brand...the door sticker may not apply to that brand.

26PSI seems too low. You're best playing around with them yourself. New tyres always feel skittish too until they are slightly worn in.

Remember that the traction control is affected by the tyre pressures ie it doesn't work if the pressures are to far out.

its been fine on them up until now- the only difference is that these have tread and maybe higher pressures than they should have.

oh, and that youve been driving it.

this sounds like a recipe for disaster to me- especailly given that pressures are critical. there must be a optimal setting?

Im confident its not that, they feel wrong, not slippy. Thats not clear I know, but I know what I mean and it just doesnt feel like scrubbing in or release agent. Im confident its pressures. The whole car feels different, not just the rear, and the all 4 pressures were changed.

ok, lead the horse to water time.......did you check the manual? Are yours at the same pressures that the manual says and not the door? From what I remember the manual suggests a fairly large difference between front/rear for pzeros.

just to reiterate, it took a good 500 miles for my new tyres to feel as comfortable as the old ones. that did include messing around with pressures.

having said that if you're really concerned why not have a chat with Chris Franklin
http://www.centergravity.co.uk/
he's a very friendly and extremely knowledgeable chap. i keep meaning to take this car to him to really optimise the handling. he's done work on my other cars in the past and i've never met anyone as methodical and conscientious

how many heat cycles have the tyres done nerv?

also silly Q but I'll ask it anyway, have they been fitted corrected as they are handed?
