Hey guys, wanted to ask peoples views on what they would go for given a budget of £35-40k.
2+2 would be more practical with the little one, but equally really fancy a Ferrari 2 seater - have other cars that we can use.
As you can see I've selected cars which have (hopefully) lost most of their depreciation in the £28-40k bracket and am genuinely intrested to know what people would go for ... all are obviously extremely different:
A 348 is tpwards the lower end of budget, but will hold some back for repairs/improvements
A 3 yr old Gransport towards top, but is much much newer and SHOULDN'T require so much ..... floor is open !!!!
PLEASE SELECT 3 Max

If you have a little one go for a four seater. It might be great owning the 355 or 348, but you will look wistfully at it every time you go on a family outing. It could even lead to resentment - toward the car.
You can still have fun hooning in them all, and show up in style at all family gatherings except for the 355 and 348 (does DB7 Vantage have rear seats?)

355 every single day of the week (and twice on Sundays). None of the others will give you the same overall buzz, you'll not lose too much (if any) money on it and your nipper will love you for owning it when they grow up.
996 is the worst iteration thus far of the 911 IMO. 348 should have been a 355 from day 1 (but I guess Ferrari needed to practice on something). 456 is lovely, but a 4 seater (if you have other cars to use why bother). Never liked the DB7 (don't think the styling works and it's based on an XJS FFS). Maser - it'll make you cry more than your baby.

DB7 Vantage would be my choice. I don't care that its based on an old Jag and I certainly don't care if the interior resembles a Ford parts bin, its still a nice place to sit. It has the two extra rear seats which are useless for Adults but not to bad for kids on a short journey. Your budget will get you a later 2002/2003 model. Gorgeous cars, maybe a little dated (but then all the cars you have mentioned are anyway) which certainly isn't a bad thing if your a proper enthusiast, its still an Aston Martin! With a mesh grill and a sports exhaust they are
. Servicing and running costs will most likely be considerably less than the other cars you mentioned. Try and find a manual, apparently they are much better. I'd take mine in silver or British Racing Green
Second choice would be the 355 and third 996.
