Hello,
I have had 2 Porsches (996 4S + 997S, now quite tuned) and am looking at getting my next car in 2009. It would be for the track -5 to 7 times a year at present- so either GT3RS (MkII probably in July 09) or Scuderia. I have already driven a current 997 GT3 around Silverstone, as well as a 360 around Goodwood, but I have no idea how to get a taste of a Scuderia.

Ideas anyone? I would even consider the Ferrari Training Course or whatever they offer if it would allow me some fun on a track!

The Scuderia is known to be too loud for some tracks, you would need to ensure you got a silencer which did the job.

Quite true, it gets even more expensive when you have to buy a Ferrari 1st as a qualification for membership is being an owner

Thanks, how much is "too loud" in db please? Most tracks have a 105 policy, although of course these are not considered "quiet" days

The Fiorano cars are fitted with gear to reduce the noise and will allow the cars onto tracks

They said that they will fit this to UK cars if it's wanted

At what cost I wonder? I've been trying to obtain more information on this mod. but there seems to be a wall of silence on the matter.

If you've just dropped 200k+ on a car, does it really matter? It's going to be sub 5k one would imagine.

The standard 430 is approx 105DB at 4k with out the valves open. The Scud on a stand buy is 117-120 DB.If you mess around witb the back pressures you will drop HP.
