Hi anyone know this car ?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2002-FERRARI-360-MODENA-RED_...

No offence intended to the owner but is the steering wheel wear typical for a 19k mile ferrari ??

Any guides to fair value would be appreciated – assuming it has full, correct and recent service history (good condition, not cat d, tyres etc)

Cheers

Get an inspection done if your interested and get them to read the data from the gearbox as this records the mileage too.

Looks like a scam to me.
Would anyone selling a 2002 Spider, spell Convertible incorrectly and fail to mention any service history?

the car is re-listed

exchanged e-mails with the owner - it has full ferrari history and he has owned it for best part of 4 years - so looks kosher - guess he is just poor at putting ads togther.

needs service this month (another big one with belts) - what is this likley to cost ??

Also last time the auction ended at £59k which unless i am mistaken is strong money for a private 2002 360 spyder ?? (that needs big belt service) ??

Only done 5k miles in last 4 years - seems a bit low anyway of double checking other than via service history (i.e. ecu etc)

If it is in good condition and if it has a full sevice history and only 19k miles then £59k is not outrageous. Remember a belt change on a 360 is only £400. Main service £700 ish. Both independent prices. So your not talking massive money. However I would want an inspection done first to find out what else is going to need doing at the service.

Saying that, Lancaster Ferrari had (dont know whether they still have it) a black 360 spider for £59k which is really good value considering that it will have a 170 point check and 12 months warranty!

regarding the point on steering wheel wear, ive just noticed that this is starting on my maser too (same materials for the wheel). Its because in the f1 version the place to put your hand is the 3 o'clock position as thats the place to reach the paddle for up changes. so your hand is always in the same place hence the wear. note the left side doesnt have it as much

I think he has got the years mixed up since I owned that car until March 06
5k miles sounds about right but it's over the last two years

Where is the car relisted?
