Anyone taking their car? I'll be going with a few friends, really interested particularly if there'll be a Countach present, my mate's a big fan of them but I don't think he's ever seen one in real life let alone had a chance to have a ride in one - anyone doing a Sporting Bears doo-dad? Or in a Murcie or Diablo, either will make his year let alone his day - he loves Lambos!

Hi there,

I'll be there camera in hand. Usually a pretty good turn out, should be a couple of Countachs for him to look at.

Heres a link to my pics from the 2007 event.

Brilliant, if I see someone wandering around with a big camera I might ask if they're Mr Dunlop! Would be nice to say hello, I'm getting your pic of the F40 framed...

I'll be there, though whether the car will be depends very much on the weather, as it's no fun driving a rwd 500+ bhp car in the wet.

If you do happen to see a bright orange Diablo there, come and say hello.

Yeap there'll be a Sporting Bears Dream Rides do-dah

I’m just an attendee so I don’t know if we have any Lambos but we’ve had them before

Hopefully there’ll be (just that I can think of at the moment) -

Bears member Russ Swift (rides with a difference)

Bears/PH member Scovette in his Corvette Racer, last year's voted best car of the show

Bears/PH member Harsh in his Ferrari

Pher clive f in his Griff 500

Bears/PH member firesafetydave in his Westie V8 (for the brave)

and many others

Amusingly I passed the link for autofocus' photos to my friend, who said something along the lines of "Look at that orange beast! As the years go by I wonder if I actually prefer Diablos..." - yours is a stunning, stunning car, brings out that kind of child-like wonder, which is the whole point. Let's hope the weather is nice, it's the w/e before my birthday and so the heavens tend to be kind! Would be nice to have a chat and listen to stories of scary roundabouts in the wet ;-)

Cheers for the information, Nigel, really looking forward to this now!

No problem

There’s also the Sporting Bears Dream Rides at the NEC, last year we had another orange Lambo and a LP640 see bootom of this page
http://www.sportingbears.org.uk/BearFacts/2007_Nov...
- these were amongst the other 127 different cars over the three days

Some photo to give you an idea of what it's all about

Weather dependent, another V8 Lambo will be there. I'll be the one with the blue car, and the very bored girlfriend! So come over and say Hi.

Anyone else going on the track? nuts

Why is this always on Le Mans weekend? ranting

It's only a short trip for me, rather than the 280 miles round trip for breakfast at Goodwood. banghead

Come on Derek, a bit of wet road will be OK. We just got back from Devon in the Corvette Z06 (600+bhp) and no problems. Slipping and sliding, just adds to the fun. Don't forget the convoy meet at WL, which we hope you will be at.

I've got a 200 mile run coming up this weekend, with a chance of rain. It'll take me the best part of 2 weeks to get the car clean again. The only reason I am going to Gaydon is to meet up with you guys to talk over the other trip, and to give you some bits and pieces I've put together for it.

Personally I've never been a fan of Supercar Sunday, so don't see it as an imperative that I turn up there in a supercar.

The deciding factor, though, is that we will be out with friends on Saturday night, and will be stopping over with them, as they are on the way to Gaydon for us. I'm not sure if they have somewhere secure for us to park the GT.

The car will still be dirty - flies, dust etc, so will still need cleaning.

No question about that, I'm just saying it looks like it'll be a dry one - which pleases me immensely!

I'll definitely be there, but not in the Lambo. Worked out today that it would cost me £150 just in petrol! yikes I begrudge paying that sort of money when the journey, apart from a couple of miles at either end, consists of sitting on our overcrowded motorway system.
