I had the pleasure of a yellow gallardo spider over the weekend, and have to say, im not sure how you chaps deal with it on a day to day basis.

I know i didnt pick the subtlest of colours, but the attention it received was quite overwhelming, and actually bordering on the stupid at times. At one point on monday evening come back down the M40 towards london in pretty dismal weather conditions, I saw a guy come tearing up behind us, sit practically on our bumper and then take approximately 30 photos of the car. I know this as the flash was on for everysingle one! A danger to everyone really, so had to pull over and slow down and get him past me as didnt want this person sat on my bumper.

Is this what it is like for you all day to day or do you just get used to it?!

Oh, and there was the time i went through beaconsfield and find the worlds heaviest population of speed bumps, so I must apologise to the line behind me but I was seriously paranoid!!

Other than that though, it truly was an outstanding piece of machinery. Stunning to look at, and that noise was intoxicating - especially through hyde park corner tunnel!

Can't say that you ever really get used to it. Usually just keep a wary eye on those that start doing stupid things to get closer, get photos or whatever. Also, on motorways and dual carriageways, have to remember if anyone is keeping station in your blind spot before trying to pull out for an overtake.

I've had some idiots do stupid and downright dangerous manoeuvres around me to have a look at the car. The worst was a guy in a C class Merc with a couple of very young kids in the back on a fairly busy and twisting A road. I tried to get away from him to be honest at a discreet pace but he just started doing ridiculous overtaking stunts to catch me up and in the end I slowed down as I was more concerned for the safety of his kids than he apparently was.

The most hilarious moment was when I had the F430 on loan a few weeks back. I stopped for fuel and some hoodies came over and asked if it was an MR2 conversion. I told them it was and I'd built it in my garage over the winter biggrin There was a girl of about 15 with them who was a right mouth piece and she was tugging at the door handle trying to get in to have a look. One of the lads stopped her and gave her an earful for being cheeky.

Ah, the blind spot - took me by surprise when the first time i looked over my shoulder, i couldnt see anything. Then i noticed a small gap between the convertioble roof and the body, so could see through that instead!

I always wonder why people want to take crappy photos in a moving vehicle with a blurry mobile phone when you can download perfect, professional pictures of such cars online.

The attention in mine was ridiculous. But thats why I bought it and will buy another biggrin

The attracted so much attention that I almost felt like I had to dress up to drive as I knew at some point I'd have to speak to someone about it or have endless amounts of people looking whilst driving. Mostly though I'd just get out in my shorts and flip flops laugh

If you don't like or can't deal with the attention then don't buy one of these cars cool

On the first day of owning my Countach I was driving along in town in slow traffic, where a bunch of young ladys flashed their t*ts to me - It was terrible!! honestly I'm not kidding..... it was the only time I had gone out without my camera!!! laugh
Then.... I had some young lady ask me if she could sit in the car - I said no because she had big studded jeans on and it would have scratched the leather. She then just stood there and proceeded to take them off!! Honestly... Lambo ownership can be pretty tough at times!

I agree with the above, If you don't like the attention, Don't buy a Ferrari or Lambo!

I find that sometimes when a swanky Fezza or Lambo is sat at the lights or something. When I try and take a picture you either sence the driver is getting annoyed or he's loving it.

My cousin came out of a casino and there was a bright orange Lambo Gallardo Spyder next to his car. Being a normal lad he had a look around. KEEPING HIS DISTANCE like any respectful human would. Then all of a sudden a guy whispers in his ear " You touch it mate, I will get you killed "

He was driving a FcensoredG bright Orange Lambo!!!!!!

You're obviously not driving it correctly if anyone short of a supercar is able to catch up with you on a motorway smile

I usually only take pictures if they're stopped, and even then it's because I love them and not for a pissing contest. I really don't want to annoy the owner but don't own such a beautiful car biggrin

Same experience here when I had a Gallardo for the weekend. Shouts from the pavement when driving through town from little kids. Even got a "nice car mister" from a kid on a bike when slowing down at mini roundabout.Made my day that one. Loved the car and the most fabulous noise that it made. Was genuinely sad when they picked it up.

The reactions are part of the fun. Filling my first Gallardo, I was asked for my autograph once - I laughed at that one. I recall on the first night out thinking I'd triggered a couple of speed cameras till I realised they were harmless snaps. 90% of reactions are favourable, some are snide and some don't even notice you. (BMW M3 drivers find exotics invisible I've observed).

Plenty of "nice car, mate" responses over the years, but my favourite was guy who did a deep bow as I drove past. smile

I had a couple of teenage girls (approx 18 yrs old) flash their tits at me from the side of the road when in my Lambo once. It was about 8pm one evening as I drove through Aylesbury. It was very pleasant thanks smile

I've also had jealous little scrotes (about 15 yr old lads) throw conkers at it from the side of the road (thankfully no damage)....which wasnt so pleasant frown
