Cheap F335 Spyder
Discussion
Sorry title should have read F355!

Clearly I would be asking for trouble buying this but it is tempting at that price!
Has anyone here seen the car? I think its been for sale for ages as I seem to remember it from last time I looked earlier this year.
Cheers,
Bryn.

It's not really that cheap, late £20's would be 'cheap'http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/541054.htm

The owner of the car is on here, can't remember his name though
I have spoken to the owner now and know the history of the car. I specifically want LHD so that's no problem (although it is part of the reason that it is for sale!)
I am planning to go and see it next week if its not been sold.
My only problem is that I'm not sure that its possible to be objective when buying your first Ferrari!
Cheers,
Bryn.

Bryn,
Take a list of things that matter, you are looking for several points which will identify the history of the car, make sure you remove the access panels under the bonnet, take a torch and have a good look for any chassis parts that maybe have been bent at some point, look underneath at the undertray scratches or bits missing, shutlines on these should be very good, NO oil leaks, You really could do with someone listening to the gearbox for you, Seat wear should not be excessive, I would recomend an inspection before purchase, it really would be money well spent, we view a lot of cars that their owners did not know the past history of, you have to walk away sometimes, the last three weve viewed for our own stock I've left behind. As it would be unfair to recomend my business, I will recommend Mike Stirland of MDS services, he's very good guy, If you like tell me where your going and i will suggest some more. remember its only a car, a special car, and the problem is people overlook things that will matter when they come to sell the car, it is overpriced.

Thanks for your reply. I have sent you a private message on the subject.
Many thanks,

Hi Guys at last some people that don’t just automatically say don’t touch it with a bargepole.
I have admitted everything about the car and have supplied a copy of a Gray Paul 190point check I had done on the car. The car is still in very good order, yes a previous owner missed 2 services but since then it has had a full service at Corso Rosa and a service and new belts from Thompson specialist cars, this is why I priced the car at what I thought was a reasonable price. And have said it is a little negotiable; however at the end of the day if no buyers agree then I will just have to keep the car and use it myself not exactly a hardship.

I could not recommended them as I have only heard things about them second and third hand and not direct, from what i've heard their's better in that direction. (trying to be diplomatic here!)
As you are fairly local to me i would happily let you come and inspect the car for the buyer.Gassing Station | Supercar General | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
