360 Sports Seats
Discussion
I fancy a 360 spider for the summer but have always felt that you sit to high in the standard (daytona ?) seats and much prefer the bucket style sports seats.
The car I want must be Red but I'm flexible on the interior colour, so to increase my options i was wondering whether anyone had ever changed the seats over and how simple this was ?.
Also prices seem to have firmed up recentley, is there a healthy market for these cars at the moment?.
The car that has caught my eye is a 2005 54plate Red with Tan sports seats F1 with 22000 miles 2 owners up at £76995, does this sound about right , I know the miles are a bit high but will 7500 PA kill the car come resale ?.
Any help and general advice is really appreciated

I'm not sure about a 360 - but I enquired about the cost of changing to Carbon buckets in a 430 - and was quoted 4k per seat! bearing in mind that it's just under a 4k option from new for the pair I suggest you find a car with the right seats, in the case of the 430 I did!"prices have firmed up recently"
Dont know where you have been looking but they definitely haven't. 360 Modenas are now being advertised for very early £40k's. I recently saw a '00 red/black Modena with 17k, flawless history and excellent condition, sold by a trader at £50k.
Spider's are no better. Main dealer near me (usually there prices are way overpriced compared to the rest of the market) has a 20k mile 360 spider in black (arguably the most sought after colour currently)advertised at £59k.
There are still some silly prices but I doubt that they are actually selling at those. In addition, a few friends in the trade are telling me that sales are considerably lower at the moment. Another friend, who deals with finance, said that they are getting a lot of applications denied now as well.

this will be very last of 360 spiders so £76k ish sounds about right for what would have a £135k car . cf seats are an expensive option and really look great , well worth the extra £££ imho. not sure how easy a swap with daytona seats will be as afaik they are electric while the cf seats are not.The car I want must be Red but I'm flexible on the interior colour, so to increase my options i was wondering whether anyone had ever changed the seats over and how simple this was ?.

i'm afraid mileage will be an issue to some so make sure you pay the right money for any car.
If you put 7500 miles on a year, in two years you are going to be bordering 40k miles. At that mileage it will significantly harder to sell. Rightly or wrongly ferrari's are very mileage sensitive.
I sold a 37k mile 1996 355 spider earlier in the year and that was considered high mileage in ferrari circles!!!
