I'm taking the family off to Manchester for a weekend break in a couple of weeks time. Second prize was a whole week there.

We usually stay in the Marriot or Novotel in Boothstown and I have been fairly relaxed about parking the Maser in there. The Missus is now wanting to stay in the centre - mumbled something about shopping - but none of the central hotels seem to have secure overnight parking.

Has anyone any experience of the NCP in Oxford Road? Is it fairly safe? Would you park your P & J there overnight? would I be better off spending 20 notes each way on a taxi from Boothstown.

All replies gratefully received.

The NCP's in Manchester City Centre are a tight squeeze and expensive.I think you would be better off psychologically and financially to Taxi in from the area you feel safest.

There is a great new NCP car park on Whitworth Street in Manchester with the added benefit of being just beside the City Inn, Malmaison and Abode. There are loads of spaces at end of rows and some quite wide ones.
Feel free to email me if you need any further advice.
Cheers,
Jim

No, unfortunately not - need 4 seats.

Thanks for your help guys. I grew some balls and persuaded the missus to stay in the outskirts of Manchester. I will check out your recommendations for the central car parks for future reference when I'm there.
