Hi 1st time posting on these forums, I have owned my 355 for 3 weeks now and have not stopped smiling ever since although I do have one worry on some occasions a light comes up on the dashboard saying slow down at 1st it stays on all the time but now I have noticed it flashes, the annoying thing is that it only does this on a average of 1 out of 3 times I start the vehicle is this a typical italian unreliable electrical snag or could it be something a little bit more serious.

Any advice would be kindly received!

o2 sensor or Cat ECU at a guess - common fault apparently especially on cars that have sat around unused for sustained periods. get a specialist to plug into the SD2 diagnostics and they'll tell you straight away which bank has the problem.

If it's the ECU the sealant is prone to cracking which then allows mositure in causing the fault, seem to recall they were around £130 each

Thankyou, after all it seemed to be a faulty sensor which can be replaced..

Cheers,

Damian.
