Heart in the mouth this week. Imagine the scene> brand new tarmac road, no other traffic about, Launch Control activated, foot down and launch underway.

Look in rear view mirror and oil filler cap is airbourne propelled by 'mist'.

After whimpering at the side of the road waiting for the cap to cool down so I could tighten it no harm done.

Might be an idea too check it more often.....

I need to check mine daily as it loosens off. A pain.

It was the only button that I have not fully explored yet... Ill be leaving it alone in future. There was a real burst of clutch smoke which I hope is normal.

Nige,

I think if i remeber rightly the LC actually "slips" the clutch slightly.

was there not a "proper" way to do it, Evo were told about it from an engineer in the new Scud.

mmmm you might be right, it was really impressive for a while as it gained grip but I have no idea what actual use here is for LC. I just followed the guide in my owners manual. If anyone on here knows the procedure id be interested.

60 comes VERY quickly BTW.

Brave man. The LC takes ALOT out of the clutch apparently, hence the plumes of smoke frown

IIRC the procedure is foot on brake, press LC then press the loud pedal to the floor. Revs hold at 4000rpm, then let the brake go and the car will sort out the balance of power/clutch/traction control for THE fastest 0-60 time, computer controlled.

Respect to you for trying it mate.

Ive had my CS since new and ive tried the LC function once. I have decided that once is more than enough for lots of reasons!
