After the heavy rain yesterday, I've noticed a small amount of condensation in one of my headlamps on my Quattoporte. Spoke to a tech at the dealer today who said its "normal" for Ferrari/Maserati to have a small amount of condensation inside and there is nothing F/M will do about it as it disappears after the light has been on for 10 mins.

Whats the consensus on this issue?

Yup, normal. Can do it after stopping on cold days too.

I can share a good tip with you. Get one or more of those silicone packets that arrive in the box with electrical goods etc, and place it/them in the bulb hole or similar whilst you're not using the car. You'll be impressed.

Thats a good tip. With the exception of having to remove the front wheels and front bumper to get in to the back of my 360 headlights. Steaming up was a warranty item on the 360's, and I believe it still occurrs on the 430's.

It sounds like a good tip but beware. A good ideal of those packets will have used up their moisture quota just being out of the box for a week or so.

Also they'll not last long in a car that's being used regularly. And to top things off on a lot of cars it's almost impossible to get the non working bag out of the light unit as they drop down into the depths and get stuck.
