I posted a couple of weeks ago that I'd bought one, and finally the wait is over and I picked it up today bounce

Obviously a different beast to my Spyder: not least a deeper and more "agricultural" exhaust note. The ceramic brakes take some getting used to, they have been criticised as being too snatchy and lacking initial feel, but its just something you get used to and they're fine IMO. Most of all I love the way it moves, so nimble and taut, just brilliant! Of course, I'm also finding it important to improve my slouchy posture to avoid backahe after a couple of hours smile

Hope you like the pics:

Beautiful cloud9

However, it looks like it has almost the same air vents as my Panda smile

I looked a right pikey with my ipod attached to a rechargeable speaker, and a tom tom stuck in the windscreen!

resistance is futile
the darkest corner of the dark side beckons
forget your big fiat, your kit car and your builder's wet dream
you know it makes sense

Looks awesome mate, congratulations.

One question though, how come the spoiler isn't full width? I haven't seen one like this before.

Tis one of the many options on a SL. If you watch the top gear best driving roads you will see that the orange SL JC has is a "small spoiler" option.

Thanks for the comments guys!

Talking of the comparison with the Clarkson car ... never a truer word spoken. It IS actually the same car, ex factory car DG191JW. Been through the history and of course it has been totally stripped and refreshed, warrantied (even the clutch has a no questions 1 year warranty).

Does anybody have any contacts with Top Gear / Clarkson? I'd love to try and get hold of some pictures or footage from their best driving roads trip!
