Go on, own up, who was it?!

Yeah Yeah, I know the story comes from 'The Scum', but the images are there. Just ignore the fact that the most useless paper in Britain referred to it as a 'Murcielago' and you'll live. hehe

Apparently it was a hire car...

Any ideas?

Link to the story can be found HERE

I do also like the fact that a Murcielago not only costs £250,000 all of a sudden but it can also now do 0-62 in 3.2 seconds!!

The Scum, we love it!! hurlbiglaugh

Who writes for the Sun? They all seem to have the vocabulary of a ten-year old.

The guys who were driving it are really going to get fked over... What's the excess on one of these car hire schemes?

The norm as i recall is a deposit of £5,000 (changes between high and lower priced cars if i remember also) which i think covers the excess!

Go easy, they have to consider the target market.

Each car normally has about £3500-£6000 excess on it. I wonder which company it was. I`m sure they wont be best pleased. And i`m sure when they hear what they were all up to they might try and get some cash out of the other drivers.

To be honest, it doesn't matter if they were drunk or not, at the bottom of the article it says the police are trying to trace the drivers (which prob means they won't be able to prove it, sadly). They must have been driving like tits anyway, is a shame to see such a good looking car being smashed up frown I hope they get nailed to the wall when they get caught too.

Insurance will be voided if over drink limit I guess so the hire company will come after them for the entire costs!!

I don't think it is on hire cars.

Hire company (if it is) will hand over details rather quickly, I'm sure. The only way they could even remotely get away, is if the car was stolen.

And even then, plenty of witnesses at the pub. hehe

Spotted a wedding party travelling down Oxford Rd in Manchester on Saturday made up of a 360 Spyder, Gallardo Spyder and Continental GT. All revving the engines and then, as they pulled away from the lights, a 911 Turbo Cab flew past them all on the wrong side of the road. Without doubt the most insane bit of driving I have ever seen. All young drivers too.

Surely hired??

There was a collection of tasty motors driven by young asian men dressed like they were going to a wedding driving slowly down the hard shoulder of the M1 near Luton the other week, causing a traffic jam.

This is rife in London.

Bloke hires supercar for a weekend (£2000) and then hires it out for half hour stints to teenagers for, say £300 for a half hour.

Popular passtime amongst Bangladehsi lads in East London.

Yep, very common and very sad all this hiring of supercars malarkey to young lads - kind of degrades the achievements of those of us who worked our nuts off to get the car of our dreams.

I'm not bitter, nor do I begrudge people living their dream (even if it is just for a weekend), but these pre-pubescent twits (especially the Pakistani/Bangladeshi ones - I live in Slough, so trust me, I know what I'm talking about) abuse the cars big time, and in the process give the rest of us a bad name (I'll punch the next person who asks me "nice motor mate, did ya hire it out yeah??" mad)

...Ok, rant over. Feel much better now. spin

It said in another topic that the Gallardo that was smashed was privately owned; but the cars he was with were hired.
