Why is it when your not looking to buy but just looking beacause you like looking theres loads but when your seriously looking to buy theres none??
Recently sold my GT3 RS and thought I would go back to a previously owned favourite either a 355 or 993 turbo/s easier said than done, seems others are doing the same particually with 993s
Anyway on the hunt for 355 GTB (man) ideally late reg car with incredible low mileage looking for something really special and will pay accordingly.
I have placed wanted ads but getting no joy
If anyone can help or knows someone who might be tempted please get in touch

Nick Cartwright prepares Ferrari's to an exceptionally high standard, Nicks a good guy, If you would like a car preparing to a higher standard i'm sure you only have to ask him.
when I picked the 355 up from them last month you'd have been hard pushed to tell it wasn't a delivery mileage car. I was absolutely blown away by the attention to detail and the service from the first phone call has been nothing short of exceptional.
Nick personally buys most (if not all) of the cars he sells so you know the majority of the legwork will have already been done before you even see the car. yes - they make their margin on the cars and if you want a cheap ferrari look elsewhere.
I can't recommend them highly enough. no connection other than a thoroughly satisfied customer.

Thanks for info re Nick Cartwright, I have chatted re my requirements and also would say that I have dealt with him before and can agree he is first class in all respects.
I think my problem is that my previous 355 was one of the best out there being a 99 GTB 4,000 miles totally original and as new. Purchased from Greypaul and regreted selling it ever since. I am holding out to find a similar or even better car with the hope that a few cars currently in collections might come to market as thing are a little tight re c/c

Can someone please explain how people can buy a car like this and only average 300 miles PER YEAR in it?!
Why buy it?
Try living and working (long hours!) in Central London and having a new born daughter...my 360 did 400 miles in six months...and not through a lack of trying either! Why buy it?
Just be care full blowing sunshine up a particular specialist/dealers backside. I have heard the flip side of certain dealers. I also know of a few owners that bought from Nick with the guarantee that work had been done. Just to discover down the line that the work had NOT been done. Its the name of Nick that carries with the buying public and he knows this. Just as Karl Verdie right to Hollingsworths also knows this;) There are people who swear by these specialists and people who have bad stories.
From what i know from my many years of Ferrari ownership, the fact is most dealers...no all have there good and bad stories. There are very very few 100% good ones out there. Just take caution in buying anything.
I know some of you will try to put names forward of specialists that you think are 100%. Problem is that the subject of who you can trust has been covered on many many Ferrari forums and in the end the thread is usually shut down because of alleged slander.

I would like to caveat my recommendation that I would never have bought anything from anyone without a 100% independant prepurchase inspection (and neither should anyone else).
As with anything, caveat emptor.
