Hi There,

I am new to PH and currently have a 06 Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder and thinking its time for a change. Debating wether to go for the LP640 or the LP560...... I came across these pictures and wanted to see what people on here thought of the matt black option? Apart from the silly price tag I think it looks stunning!

Personally I like it. I am a big fan of the mat look at the moment. There is a clip of this car on youtube and it sounds great.

I think its a lovely car and an even better paint job.
I can see it now (if I was to own it!) parked outside a beautiful set of apartments named something along the lines of 'TOWERS' next to all these other shiny cars and there is the lp560 in that matt black looking mean!

Get the car in white (best colour IMO) then wrap it Matt black - wont cost too much

I did think of putting a wrap on the car but after looking into it they wear to easily especially around the door shuts etc.... The Hamann 599 was down at the HR Owen workshop for a while which I managed to have a look at, its amazing from a distance but up close you can see its a wrap.

James,

Personally i am not a fan of dark colours or black as the curves are lost. Black wheels to me create an effect that means you cant even see the design of the wheel however I do understand people like this dark, stealth type finish.

I found this earlier and I love it, thought you should see it as I think it would even better on the Gallardo

Regards,

Matthew

Thinking about it, if i was to dare getting my Lamborghini in such an option, I think i would just get a wrap.

My original plan was to get the car in Pearl White and put the wrap on it. However after looking into it they just don't hold up and you can see the under colour coming through in certain places.

Hmmm.....do you know I'm really not sure. If I was buying a new Lp560 and was offered the option of matt colouring, my biggest concern would be resale. It might be cool now but will be cool in 3 years.

Anyway, what would I do with my Zymol Destiny!!!

I like it in matt but I think it will age badly. As suggested above, buy a less fashionable colour and get the matt wrap.

A friend of mine in Dubai sent me over these tonight, I believe its a F430 Novitec. I don't think it works in the matt black.

Those are AbuDhabi plates
It's this car

This is another 430 (this time in Saudi) with a wrap

It does look good - but the photos are way overexposed

I love these Matt black wraps but they must get flippin' hot in sunny countries! Its incredible that just don't shrink or peel off in no time at all.
