I know that this question may seem pointless or even boardering sad........ but

I had fitted to my Murci some LP640 rear lights. Now the light clusters have some supercool star deflectors in the centre of the light. They have bulbs behind them but they don't seem to light up very bright when braking. You hardly even notice their on!!

Is this how they should be????

Oh, and also can any Murci owner remind me how to keep the batwings up when driving?

.....I know, I get sectioned tomorrow - and my wife's just called me a sad b@***@d!!!

My LP640 brake lights do go quite bright when braking..probably a fault with the transformer you will have needed to retrofit the lights to a Murcie. I'd like the LP640 lights on my Murcie too but its a bit dear I think?

To keep batwings up you need two people. One person with hand on battery isolator circular switch in engine compartment and one in the drivers seat. Start engine and raise batwings via dash switch. Kill engine and immediatly get second person to turn off the battery isolator. Leave 1 minute then switch isolator back on. Batwings will now be up permanently. You don't need to go to a dealer to reset them to get them back to normal. just do the following : Turn ignition to second click so dash lights light up and at the same time keep your finger on the batwing switch. Turn the ignition off - keep your finger on the switch - and the batwings will lower - but you must keep this button depressed until the batwings lower all the way. This also works for resetting the rear spoiler which is often stuck up or half way on both the Lp640 and the Murcie. sad arent I but there you go smile

Thanks Simon.

BTW, any idea how to RAISE the rear spoiler when stationary? I'd like to check the position of it when up.

There isnt I'm afraid. Unless you take it to a friendly dealer who will raise it via his laptop!

I think it was Andy you met - he's a bit bigger than me..only had the Murcie to Silverstone myself..

Batwings up - looks more agressive to me plus the car does run cooler, although overheating is never a problem on the big Lambo's
