Hey Guys,

SHall I do it? Shall I buy a Ferrari 360 Spider Modena F1. The car is Metallic Nero Black covered 13000 miles and is a 2005 model for £79995. I have the Option to buy a Prosche Turbo in that price but I've had Porky and want to try something different. Would youy advise to buy a Ferrari or not.

Let me know your thoughts.

Cheers

If you are looking for price guidance, have a trawl through the classifieds.
If you want advice on whether to buy, then go and drive a few.

I expect the short answer of 'obviously' yes...

Depends what you are looking for. 997 Turbo is the better car, 360 is more fun.

I'm a stick shift man myself. Great cars, if you like the F1 transmission, buy one.
I would want full ferrari service history and years warranty at that money.

360 is a fantastic car to drive - real passion. Porsche is a very fast car and is very solid performer but has no real magic.

Impossible to say what it will be worth in two years in light of current economic climate. A lot less then now, thats for sure! You are also looking at the very highest of prices for that car. Shop round on autotrader / pistonheads see the range of prices.

Your not far of Stradale money, and the Strad will depreciate half as much as the Modena.

Guys, I forgot to mention they are giving me £30000 for my Range Rover Sport 4.2 Supercharged. Thats why I'm paying £79995........;(

Realistically I kinda of know I'm paying over the odds but its the long term gain with the company...

Thanks

It might be easier if you said what they offered in trade on the RRS and what the asking was on the 360.

I assumed you were talking about the one at Lancasters Colchester? It's still for sale and has now been reduced to £74,900... what happened ?

I love this type of comment - can you please tell which F1 cars you have owned to be able to give this knowledgable comment?

I ask because almost everyone who buys an F1/e-gear modern car would never consider another manual one

Well I've driven SMG, DSG, PDK & F1 and there is no way I'd buy any semi-manual gearbox car. They are too boring. DIY is much more involving IMHO.

Edited to add, including the awful Aston Vanquish S gearbox whatever they call that monstrosity.
