Airbag Warning Light in 575 Maranello

Evening guys
My mates 575 has just had it's warning light come on for no apparent reason while reversing out of a carpark. Is this something to be concerned with? Can he still drive it (can't get to a dealer for another 2 weeks yet)? Is there a switch somewhere to turn it on/off manually? (he has no idea re cars....hence i have offered to help here by posting).
I'm presuming it means that the system is now turned off and will not operate both sides if there is an accident?
