Hello chaps, just poking my head around the corner from the Porsche forum.

If I was considering getting an 05 Gallardo for two years/15k miles how much would I pay in servicing?

Also, how are their values holding up in the current financial turmoil.

Also also do Lamborghini do a similar extended warranty to Porsche? Does much go wrong with these cars?

SM

Service intervals are 1 year/7.5k miles. Over two years/15k miles you'd have to service it twice atleast. Which would be ~£1k for the minor and ~£2k for the major (that should be top end, may be able to knock off a couple of hundred depending on when/where its serviced).

How much you'll lose depends on how you buy/sell it (trade/trade, private/trade, etc), spec, how desperate you are to get rid come selling time. As a rule of thumb I tell most people to go in expecting the car to cost ~£1k/month. In two years your unlikely to get a nasty shock, but you may get a pleasant surprise.

Blimey I thought these cars were rare and sought after. I'm losing about 1/3rd of that on the GT2. At least I was. Lately prices seem to be fairly static.

At this rate I'll keep it for two more years and get a Gallardo PLUS some cash smile

LMAO, good luck with that. Perhaps you GT2 will appreciate, and you can get a Gallardo and a F430.

I don't know what your basing your GT2 prices on, but my advise was based on worst case. In the current market its difficult to tell what any car will really do over two years.

I'm sure you're right re Gallardo but watching GT2 prices there's only a handful of good ones on the market at any time (none in main dealers now) and people will pay top buck for correct ones like mine. Like you say though christ alone knows where we'll be this time next year let alone in 2-3 years time!

As a pauper I need to consider total cost of ownership...

To be honest its not a car to buy on a budget yet. It may not cost you much over two years, but as a limited production relatively new car theres always the potential it will.

Seems reasonable considering Lambos of past and not to far of the mark of P-Cars.
