Can I get a reeeemappp? On my 360's F1 gearbox?
Discussion
I'm curious if anyone has used Chipped UK for the following?
http://www.chippeduk.com/recent-work.php
Their engine tuning looks sensible, Stradale esque exhaust, better cats, and bigger throttle body/mass meters... the gains look fairly sensible too.
But the gearbox? 80 hours testing, yet somehow they have improved clutch life by upto 30%
A bold claim, considering Ferrari have no doubt done more than 80hrs testing around a race track alone, with possibly hundreds of clutches worn out during endurance testing.
Remapping when you have made a significant change makes sense, even on a Ferrari, but remapping a gearbox when nothing has been changed, and claiming upto 30% more life?

Dave 360's are not my subject......so this is hearsay!
I believe that the early tcu programming on 360's was remapped by ferrari & specialist dealers to extend the life of them, probably by the same amount, so maybe they are comparing clutch life expectancy against a non remapped car? QV london, Terry Keys, MDS and other specialists all have the kit I believe.
