Gallardo Superleggera?

Hey guys,

Just bought my first Lambo, a brand new Superleggera. What am I to expect? Would like to read as much as possible about the car before delivery, any tips? When is the first service due?

welcome to the darkest corner of the dark side
you can expect uncontrollable grins, a small queue outside your passenger door and to be on first name terms at your friendly local petrol station
avoid tight manoeuvres, don't use automatic, keep it in sport mode, don't let the fuel drop below 1/4 full or it'll misfire
first service on uk cars is at 75oo miles
i'm a little surprised that new cars are still available : when did you spec it ?

Thanks for your reply! So I have to keep the fuel above 1/4, how can that be? Will make sure I do anyway. Really excited about taking delivery.

I did not spec the car, it is a brand new car at my local lambo dealer that they received a few weeks ago. Anywhere I can read more about the car? What was possible to spec the car with?

Also welcome to the dark side. Re fuel 1/4 full, I've not had that issue on mine on the odd occasion it has run just below 1/4. There was a thread on here not long ago which listed the prices for the options, do a search for Superleggera options or price list. If you're coming from a GT3, prepare to be in for a nice surprise!

a friend drove around on the low level light and ended-up with problems
i did the same, filled-up with fuel and ran on <10 cylinders : stopped, switched-off, switched-on, ran fine ever since
