F430 or low milage 360 and change???
Discussion
Hello all.... after much deliberation and many hours on Pistonheads, I have decided my next motor is a late 360 or 430 spider. The problem I have is, a high quality low milage 360 spider is 65-75k and a quality lowish milage F430 spider is 110-125k. The inner me actually thinks the 360 is nicer looking and has a nicer sound. I dont like the F430 sound at all but that can be fixed with a capristo.... the F430 on the other hand is a better all round car, newer, better interior, easier on the road etc etc....
the question... is a 430 spider really worth the extra 40-50k? Prices also seem to be in freefall at the mo....
Any opinion from owners of either car would really help me stop spending hours and hours on this site undecided.... thanks for your help!!

The 430 is a substantialy better car. F1 box is a world better than the 360 one. 430 is also much faster. IMO 430 looks better too, but that is subjective.
Both are dropping hard in value. 430 Spider prices are already down to £106k and I suspect that most will take a substantial offer on that too. If you dont mind losing a shed load of money I would buy the 430 spider. I would rather have a higher mileage lower spec 430 to a low mileage high spec 360.

Whats the general opinion on this car isuk? Anyone know this car? Is it a bit cheaper as its a manual?
I don't know anything about the car other than what is on the ad I'm afraid. Just spotted it on Sytner's website. Black is growing in popularity so it's a decent colour to go for and I'd agree it's been priced to sell. Only possible downside IMHO is the bordeaux carpet but that's just personal taste. I agree with Traxx though that the 430 is a much better car than the 360 having owned both as well. Are you going to drive the car much? If so, then why bother paying premium for a low mileage? The car wont be low mileage when you've finished with it, and hence you've just driven away the premium. The 430 isnt a car which necessarily benefits from low miles, as its built well compared to previous fezzas. In this climate, you could certainly do without unnecessary premiums which vanish come resale.
Some also preach that a 3yr old 10k-15k car will drive better as its been properly used, as opposed to a similar age 3k car which will have not have been worn in.

how about a 355 and enough beer + hookers that within a few hours you don't give a sh!t what the car looks like, how fast it is or how much it's cost?
I think it was George Best who once said "I spent most of my fortune on fast cars, beer and women. The rest I just squandered". Whilst I disagree with much of what George did I think that's a fantastic adage.
