I'm an Aussie coming to Paris next month for 10 days and I'm wondering the best way to get to the Nurburgring. I just want to cruise around the circuit a couple of times - nothing fancy. My wife is already testy at the thought of me "wasting time" at the motor show, so I'm looking for the quickest and easiest way to get to the 'Ring and back. Fly to Frankfurt and rent a car there, or rent a car in Paris and do it all by car? Any thoughts based on experience?

It's a 4 (450 kms) hour blast from Paris right? Why waste time and fun jumping on a plane?

Direction of Reims, Charleville . . . earlymorning run is easy traffic.

I dont think you are allowed to take hire cars on the circuit.I have read rumours on here I think about registration numbers being logged for this purpose.Someone else would be able to confirm the exact details.

Could be an idea to book the ring taxi in advance.

best regards
