Just seen this link:

Though it might be of interest, they don't change hands everyday; when was the last one for sale?

even in the extremely tough market we're in now, I can see this going for a fair bit over that estimate...

They come up not frequently but not infrequently either. That garage in HK has had one up for sale recently, as did Symbolic Motors in the US.

Meh, it's only a production car.

Sitting in the actual prototype that did 241mph is where it's at wink

I'm surprised this one's up for sale again, given what the current owner paid in import duty.

A friend of mine used to work there, they asked me if I wanted to sit in it, it would have been rude to say no. Getting in was easier, than getting out, in more ways than one. wink

i was lucky enough to go on a tour of the factory where they had the last 5 or so on the production line, if it could be called that. my favourite was a metallic blue one that if i recall right was the last customer car that they were making, the next 3 or so were in cigarette co logo and were pink or purple (West?). Apparently the blue one was on its third colour change as the owner kept changing his mind, this at great expense.
Great stuff and the factory people were very nice especially considering we probably werent potential customers.

Many years ago, must have been '94, I had a passenger ride in one with Johnathan Palmer driving. He was their marketing director at he time I think and it was at one of those corporate type days at Brunters, long before he set up at Bedford.

He was showboating it a bit (a lot actuallybiglaugh) and had it severely sideways, playing the throttle to keep it there. Stunning noise, very fast throttle response, almost like a motorbike to listen to. We "only" hit 190mph though on the straight

I also managed to wangle a factory tour as well which was quite an eye-opener - clinically clean inside.

But I'd sell vital body organs for the LM.

I let out little internal whimpers looking at those photos, my God they are a good car, unfortunately even a re-mortgage of my house (especially in the current environment) wouldn't even get me close.
