My mate has had a Lambo Door conversion done on his. I think it looks awesome.

I also know someone who's considering doing the same on their SL. They CERTAINLY could afford a Murci or 3.

Horses<->Courses

I've also seen it done on a 360 - looked the nuts on that too.

It's just you, I think all Gallardo's should have come with proper lambo doors and I think the conversion is great. And there's a big difference between "911 badge on a cayman" and "I COULDN'T AFFORD A MURCIELAGO".... the Gallardo is not 'a poor man's Lamborghini'

a 360 is what you get when you can't afford a lambo biggrin (runs for cover)

the problem is they have to come out about 5 inch, then go up, rather than going straight up like a murcie, hence the murcie ones looking so much better.

Don't like them much, as the doors are the wrong shape for this. Maybe they should have been designed as beetle wings in the first place but should all contemporary Lamborghinis have them?

I really like it (but then again if I could afford a lambo I wouldn't really care which way the doors opened)

your insane, when I first saw that I thought you'd mis-linked it.

looks absolutely fine, and no one would ever know theres something 'wrong' with it?

it's hardly a MR2 replica is it...

This conversion is so wrong...........

As said above they DONT open like a Mercie as they come slightly outwards.
Spoils an other wise nice car.

I quite like that (runs for cover!)

Probably look better minus the taxi cab stripes but otherwise quite "pimpin'"

... the thing is, whilst Lamborghini did make a point of saying the up-opening doors were for the top of the range car at no time was it implied that the Gallardo was a poorperson's car!

In any case, these out and up doors can also be fitted to er... just about any other car on the road - I saw an Alfa GT with them a while back - great car in black and black, girl driver similar (!) but spoiled by the doors that just made her look silly when she couldn't work out how to shut them!

Whats more unpalateable than the doors is the drop in the price of this - i am sure i saw it at 87k about 2 months ago .....ouch....

Indeed - I thought the whole thing with the scissor doors was that only the V12 cars get them smile

The Gallardo being the 'baby Lambo' and all that... wink

Its a fair enough thing to do, Lambo doors on a Lambo.

He's just correcting what Lamborghini should have done anyway.

Looks okay.

An acquaintance of mine has scissor doors on his baby blue, 1.1L, 206. They go outwards and then upwards, and they look st, and his car is so slow. And he put Sparco racing seats into his car as well, so to get into the back you need to climb through the gap in the middle. tt.
