Lamborghini will follow in the footsteps of Porsche and Ferrari in 2009, by launching an exclusive one-make racing series.
The first round of the 2009 provisional calendar will be held on 3 May at Silverstone...
So how do we get tickets? Shall we have a mass drive out to Silverstone?

How does a publication called 'Classic Driver' not remember that Lamborghini have had two previous one make series with the SVR races of the 90's and the GTR races of the early 00's... tsk...
We await information about tickets and stuff at the leisure of the UK's press contact for Automobili Lamborghini, as we always do...
(awaits online panning from somebody who knows somebody else with a limp who knows somebody who has already got tickets, for sale on eBay, reserve not yet met...)

jeepers
that was 'that' number twice for a second then...
still, not now
Just been chatting with a chap in Manchester who's very keen on buying a Gallardo and asked if £60k was too little a price to pay.
So I said it was at least £15k too little...
Now off to smooch the Blancpain website and see if they have any sub-£2000 beaters to sell...
but really, very hopefully they have none, hopefully

been out three times today!
once to the back garden to put a bag of paper shreddings in the big bin...
once to Leyland to buy some new shoes, they are v. comfy and I may have to wear them now...
and once to take some more pictures of the ol' Carina because somebody may be about to buy it...
so there, where have you been then?
As mentioned I want to get my posting count above 1400 as soon as possible
so this wont be the last for now...

it was a very big bag of shreddings, mostly of my Dad's old bank statements for an account he's not had since 2000 but had from about 1985 as far as we can tell.
lots and lots of Barclays and Woolwich stuff... we've kept the one he wrote on where he cleared the mortgage early in 1999...
there, another one posted...

Also, as far as I can tell, there are NO Blancpain watches for less than £2k
which is very reassuring to know
even more to know that they don't make beaters, so, at any price they'd be useless for me as I bash watches to bits after a while unless they are tough as a tough thing after a tough day down at a Toughty Club meeting for extra tough stuff
