Can someone confirm whether the standard Gallardo has a spoiler that rises upon a certain speed. Looking at the car, I have always thought that the Gallardo did not have a spoiler nor have I seen any pics of a Gallardo with this apparent raised spoiler. However, people have told me that the Gallardo does indeed have such a spoiler.

I am not talking about the Superleggera type spoiler but one that is apparently inbuilt and sits flush at the rear normally.

On a side note, does anyone know how much a Superlegerra spoiler would cost to retro fit onto a standard gallardo. I just think the spoiler on the Superleggera finishes the rear from a side profile the way it should i.e going upwards and not downwards

Strange that you ask that because we just got one into stock yesterday and its the first time Ive had a real go in one. I noticed that yes there is a rear spoiler between the rear lamps on two struts giving it the apperance that it would raise up like say a Porsche Carrera GT etc, but it doesn't. I admit to looking for a button for ages to raise it and only realised when I popped the bonnet and the spoiler went up with it....

Hope that answers your question?

Picture too:

The spoiler comes up at about 50mph. It pivots from the front, so only the rear edge raises. there is no button.

The whole spoiler lifts Jules to provide a mini wing. It raises above 75mph from memory.

I believe it goes up. I had never noticed, nor looked before but recently I got a new view of my car whilst out on a bright clear day. A nice policeman showed me an interesting video of mine passing him with what appeared like a raised spoiler. Can't be sure of what speed it rises at , but when well advanced in 3 figures it looked up.

Yup, you are correct, 75mph.. tested tonight (obviously on a track) .. i can only see what happens from the rear view mirrow, so assumed it was just the back bit. I stand corrected.
